	Alexandria was in our family/temple room last night, and browsing through some of the book titles. She noticed one that had the word "Magick" in it. "Daddy, why did they spell the word wrong?" The "magic with a K" objectionists would be so proud. ;) Tags: alexandria, magick

Hurray, Alexandria!

I know why some people spell it with a 'k,' but I still think it's silly. You can always tell from the context what sort of magic someone is talking about. No need for people to get all pissy about it. :)

I figure the word could be interpreted in its simplest form as 'of or relating to a magus,' and then go with the Latin version, though it looks like the Romans took the word from Greek.

Dictionaries are so much fun. (g)

I refuse to spell magic with a 'k'. I just find it ridiculous and a waste of energy. For Brigid's sake, magic is magic. Who gives a crap?
